Library of Congress on Flickr

I stumbled across this the other day (I can’t remember which website or blog I found it on)… The Library of Congress on Flickr. There’s an archive of over 3000 images, some of which date back to 1910s. Many are from the Farm Security Administration era. The quality of many of these images is absolutely superb…a real testament to superiority of film and its ability to remain so pure through ages.

Can you imagine lugging that thing around?

If you’re a history buff, film lover, or just interested in some old photos, definitely have a look.  It’s totally amazing.

  1. Now that’s a real he-man’s camera! I wonder what they took his picture with?! 🙂
