Apples, apples, more apples…and a few pumpkins!

Phew! I can just get this post in before Monday is officially over–I just may complete my goal of posting every day for a week after all!

Last weekend I took my kids to Lynd’s Fruit Farm in Pataskala, Ohio to pick apples. They have a huge and beautiful apple orchard, as well as a big pumpkin patch, a Farm Market, corn maze, and lots of fun, family-friendly stuff to do. We had a great time, and picked wayyyy too many apples. Of course I brought my camera, here are a few of my favorite shots from the day:

We saw these horses on the drive out to the orchard, so I had to stop and say hello…

Way more apples than we need. If you want the world’s best apple pie, come on over!

And of course, Pumpkins! I’ll be turning a few of these bad boys into some cool jack-o-lanterns…I’ll show those off in a few days.

  1. That looked like a very fun day. My favorite is cherie hiding in the apple tree. I would love to go to an orchard and pick apples, I’m sure they are probably a lot cheaper there than they are here at the grocery store.

  2. Well, Chantal, you do have quite a few apples! I hope that you like them!!! 🙂 Now, you can have apple juice, cider, sauce, pie, and whatever else ‘apple’ you can think about. Heck, you can even eat them raw! I still need to get up to Ohio to go shooting with you! Soon, it’ll start to snow in mountains between WV and VA! It’s pretty, but don’t like to drive through it. I’ve been in the south for too long!

Lovely pictures. I’m with Richard, I like the one of Cherie best.
