Natalie & Michael

When I first met Natalie and Michael, my initial impression was “aww, what a sweet couple!” But after spending the afternoon and evening with the them during our engagement shoot, the word I would use to describe them is HOT! These are two of the most incredible people and together, they make a truly special and beautiful couple. Sweet, yes, also very loving, totally into each other, and fortunately for me, completely uninhibited in front of the camera.

We had a pretty extensive engagement session… We began at their home, where I was hoping to capture a more intimate side of them and shoot them where they were most comfortable. But then we went up to Freeman’s Farm in Delaware, Ohio for some outdoor photos, where we wanted to capture some of beauty of fall. Before the sun went down, we moved on to downtown Columbus, and shot in a few different places, including the Scioto Riverfront and the trendy area around Nationwide Arena. As it finally grew dark, we had some fun in the middle of busy High Street in the Short North Arts District and finished up on an overpass over I71 where some drivers passing by were giving us more than a few crazy looks and, on more than one occasion, felt the uncontrollable urge to yell a thing or two at us!

We had so much fun, I was on such a photo-high (that’s a real thing) after our shoot, but most importantly, I’m so happy I was able to spend an incredible day with two amazing people. And I’m also happy I was able to bond with Natalie and Michael. Forging a relationship with my clients is really the best part of my job. I absolutely can not wait for their wedding on Lake Michigan next June.

Here are a few of my favorites from the day’s shoot:

Michael is such a talented guitarist. It was such a treat to hear him play…

I can be a fairly adventurous photographer, and it’s always such a thrill when clients are just as adventurous…Natalie and Michael didn’t hesitate when I asked them to stand in the middle of the street during busy Saturday night traffic!

Natalie & Michael: thank you so much for allowing me into your space for the day. I had a wonderful day with you, I can’t say enough about how amazing you both are. See you soon!

  6. My spouse and I absolutely love your blog and find almost all of your post’s to be what precisely I’m looking for. Would you offer guest writers to write content for yourself? I wouldn’t mind composing a post or elaborating on some of the subjects you write with regards to here. Again, awesome website!
