Niki & Joe: The Wedding!

Last weekend my husband and I had the ultimate privilege and honor of traveling down to Portsmouth, Ohio to document the wedding of Niki & Joe. It was a beautiful wedding, held at Joe’s parents’ gorgeous house. We had such a great time, getting to know Joe and Niki’s families…everyone was so nice and made us feel like we were part of the family. The afternoon ceremony was simple and elegant and included a traditional Vietnamese Tea Ceremony. The reception was held on the amazing back patio overlooking a valley (we saw three deer!). There was a bountiful dinner (the food was incredible!) and also a few surprises.

To Niki & Joe: Thank you so much for allowing Shamon and I to share in your day. We had such a great time and we wish you nothing but the best for your very long and happy future together! Give our love to your families!

Joe’s sister, Robin, wanted to have a fun portrait of her family, so this is what we came up with… how cute is this?!?..

At the reception, Niki had a table set up with a Polaroid camera for guests to snap a photo and write a message for a scrapbook. I’ve seen this at a lot of weddings recently, it’s such a great idea!

  2. Chantal,
These were certainly worth the wait!!! Thanks so much for capturing a momentous day…”my baby brother” getting married!!!! Just keep doing your thing…because we would like to book you in advance to do the flower girl’s wedding! She’s only 7, so I’m sure by the time we need you fame and fortune will have found you! 3. Hi Chantal,

These photos are awesome! I get asked quite often if I shoot weddings. I don’t. But, I always try to refer someone else to them. If you lived here in Auburn, CA, I would refer YOU!
