I have some really cool photos to share, but for some reason WordPress is acting funky and not letting me upload the full size images. As soon as I figure out what the problem is—or rather, as soon as the problem fixes itself— I’ll have a new post full of great pictures from our trip to Georgia.

The cool thing about having your own blog is you can write about anything. So what’s on my mind at the moment has nothing to do with photography….but it should be important to everyone.
I use a Google home page, and every morning I check the news headlines, weather, etc., right from that page. I get news feeds from NY Times, MSNBC, CNN, and BBC. Today I was extremely disturbed by what I noticed. The top headlines from all of the America-based media was about Normal Mailer’s death, or the stage-hand strike on Broadway. But for the BBC, the top healine today is about the US troops who were killed in an Afghan ambush.
After refreshing the page a few times the news of American deaths has finally reached some of the American new media, but it’s still not the leading headline.
Am I the only one who’s disturbed by this?
…about blogging lately. For a while I was doing really well with regular updates and posts, but these past few weeks have been so incredibly busy for me. I’ve failed miserably at finding the time to post. And I LOVE to blog, I really do. When I first began blogging just under two years ago I had no idea where it would lead, but it has been an amazing ride. So many doors have opened to me as a result of my blogging, but most importantly it has given me the confidence I needed to pursue my dream of becoming a professional photographer. I feel it’s important to keep this thing going. And I totally admire those who make the time to blog everyday. So it’s my goal to post everyday this week, starting tomorrow (well, today actually). It’s a small goal, but it’s a start. If I can do a week, then maybe a month, and then who knows!

Okay, so I know I change the look of things a lot, but I’m doing it over the weekend when traffic is on the slow side. I’m playing with templates to find something that will showcase the photos a little better and allow for larger sizes. I know nothing about CSS so I’m just winging it! I’m also changing the name of the blog to better fit what things are about around here (url stays the same)…my apologies to the subscribers who may want to adjust their own ‘links’ page…all the changes are for the better, I promise 🙂

Just trying on a few new templates….
I’m in the mood for change…so that means the blog will change looks perhaps a few more times before I settle on something good. They really shouldn’t make it so easy to change templates 🙂
