Ok, so here are more from my newborn shoot with Baby Weston…

I first met Weston’s parents last fall when I did his Mom’s maternity shoot. I had such a great time with them, and I was really looking forward to meeting the new addition to their family. Weston was born on January 20th, and I was able to do his first photo shoot on Monday, when he was only 8 days old. He was just a little restless though, so I was happy to come back again on Tuesday to finish up our shoot. How could I resist two afternoons with this sweet little face?

Jody & Adam: Congratulations on the birth of your new baby boy! He is so sweet, I absolutely fell in love with him. I wish you all nothing but the best! Be sure to call me again as this little guy grows!

Introducing Weston! (a preview)

Say hi to Baby Weston!  Isn’t he adorable?!?  I fell in love with this little guy just the other day when he was only 8 days young!

This is only a preview of the pictures I will post later.  I know little Weston’s Mom is anxious to see!  I wanted to post last night, but I had to pick up my mother from the airport last night and her flight was delayed (VERY delayed) so I didn’t get home until super late.  Be sure to check back later today, I’ll be posting some more SOON!

Breakdown

grrr…I was doing so well with daily posting. Oh well. I have some totally adorable photos to post from a newborn session. I shot part one yesterday, and finishing up part two this afternoon. I’ll share some of those either later tonight or tomorrow.

Pro Photo Resource

I’ve been doing really well with posting daily for the past few days, so I didn’t want to let today go by without a blog post…

If you’re a photographer, then you’ll really enjoy checking out Pro Photo Resource.   Like the subtitle of the site says, its a site “for photographers, by photographers”.  There all sorts of articles with shooting tips, techniques, product and book reviews, and awesome advice from the pros.

The highlight of the current issue for me is Jasmine Star’s article.  You’ll have to register to read the full article, but it’s free and totally worth it!

My New Logo!

I’m so excited about my new logo! It’s fun, fresh, and professional and I think it really represents both my personality and my photography style. Thanks so much to everyone who commented on my previous logo post and sent me emails. Even though I ultimately went in a different direction from what everyone else suggested, I feel my choice is more “me” than the rest. I hope you agree! So now I can relax… I finally ordered my new business cards and I can’t wait until they arrive. Here’s the front side of my new card:

On another note… for some reason my kids didn’t have any school today. This is what happens when you have 1 mother too busy blogging + 3 kids with free access to mom’s make-up + extreme goofiness + a serious case of “we don’t want to clean our rooms”…

Library of Congress on Flickr

I stumbled across this the other day (I can’t remember which website or blog I found it on)… The Library of Congress on Flickr. There’s an archive of over 3000 images, some of which date back to 1910s. Many are from the Farm Security Administration era. The quality of many of these images is absolutely superb…a real testament to superiority of film and its ability to remain so pure through ages.
